About the cottage

How many people does Tawelfor sleep?

Tawelfor sleeps six across three bedrooms. It works brilliantly for families, groups of friends, or a mix of the two.

Is there parking at the cottage?

Yes there's private off-road parking for two cars at the cottage.

Can I charge my Electric Vehicle (EV) at the property?

At time of writing, there is an electric vehicle charging point situated approximately 300 yards away in Llanbedrog beach car park. If you’re unsure, apps like Zapmap and ChargeFinder let you locate UK chargers and their details.

Is Tawelfor dog-friendly?

Yes we welcome up to two well-behaved dogs per stay. Just let us know when you book. If you're travelling with a four-legged friend, the Llŷn Peninsula has plenty of dog-friendly beaches and pubs too! Please ensure your pet adheres to our Pet Policy.

Is the cottage suitable for young children?

Absolutely. The cottage is set up with families in mind, and Llanbedrog beach (a three-minute walk away) is one of the best on the peninsula for little ones. It's sheltered, south-facing, and shallow enough for paddling.

Do you have Wi-Fi?

Yes, there's Wi-Fi throughout the cottage. Though honestly, once you see the view, you might not need it quite as much as you think!

The location

Where exactly is Tawelfor?

Our address is Tawelfor, Llanbedrog, Gywnedd, LL53 7TL. Our What3Words is ///costumes.outbound.congas.

Do I need a car?

Yes. The Llŷn Peninsula is beautifully rural, which means public transport is limited. You'll want a car to make the most of it. Plus, exploring the coastal lanes at your own pace is half the fun.

How far is Abersoch?

About five minutes by car, or a pleasant hour’s walk along the coast path if you're feeling energetic. Close enough for dinner or a surf lesson; far enough that Llanbedrog stays wonderfully quiet.

Is there a pub nearby?

There is indeed. The village pub is a short stroll from the cottage. And the beach bar at Llanbedrog beach is three minutes in the other direction.

What's the best time of year to visit?

The Llŷn has something going for it in every season. That said, May, June, and September are our personal favourites - quieter beaches, lovely weather more often than not, and everything feels a little more like it's yours. Summer is brilliant if you love a bit of buzz around Abersoch. Autumn is spectacular for walkers. Even winter has its charms, particularly if your idea of heaven is a wild beach and a warm pub.
